The ability to create a variety of sounds is key for sucess when hunting the elk rut. I tend to use an external reed most often to produce sharp cow calls that can carry across the hills. I always have a few diaphragms with me for quick calling and bugling with the metal bugal tube. New to my lineup this year is the EZ SUK'R, an elk call that works on the inhalation rather than the exhale. Hopefully this hands-free call will get closer than ever to some big bulls this fall.
